Haha this sounds like someone I know. My brother's friend is an adopted Korean, and her mother is white. When they would go out shopping when she was little she used to scream your not my mommy when she didn't get her way.

This is why spanking should remain as a valid form of punishment and deterrent. A kid that knows their butt will be sore will never consider such a thing.
However, a kid that gets participation trophies and "timeouts" has no respect nor appreciation of consequences for actions.
Although, maybe a kid in a month of government care may think twice about losing all their toys and that cushy room all to themselves.
Yeah, I know it's supposed to be funny. I don't think it is remotely funny.

@SuperSparky
I'm so glad you were able to find a forum to voice you world views. You must be desperate for venues as you chose the comment section of a video. A video which is VERY loosely related to your opinions. It was a bit of a stretch, but I think you just barely pulled it off.
Grats!

OMG this video had me rolling on the floor. Hilarious!!!!!!

@Sparky
I disagree. In my experience, the 'type' (and pardon my flagrant generalization, as it were) of child to require regular spanking is hardly the type of child that would heed such a punishment. Hence the regular bit.
That said, I thought it was hilarious.

This is not a mini-van commercial. It's a short film. And I think it's brilliant.
Posted by: ELBSeattle | November 18, 2010 at 04:02 AM
@Sparkey...also
How ironic is it that you don't find the video remotely funny,
and yet, I'm sure, that everyone who visits this sight will not find even "remotely" capable at taking a joke.
Hows about we take our blatant political and parental views elsewhere, shall we?
Kthanks

wow Sparky.. government care? really? do you think kids "in the system " are getting what they deserve?
I hope you locate the area you left your sense of humor in... and I hope you fall off that high horse you are on. wishing you government care...

@Spanky
Physical punishment and causing harm to any child is irresponsible and should not be condoned.
I was never spanked as a child, nor hit, or indeed any form of physical punishment that harmed my body.
Instead, I was given chores to do, like cutting the grass, cleaning the car, tidying rooms in the house, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows etc and when things were really bad I was confined to my bedroom (no tv, no games or radio etc.). All valid forms of "punishment" that also taught me to value my home and not to mess it up. As a result, as a child I lessened my bad behavior so I could have more free time, I also wasn't inclined to make a mess in the house, as I knew I'd be the one cleaning it up if I behaved badly.
And look at me now, President of the United States.

@Spanky Here's an even better solution: DON'T HAVE KIDS. If you choose to have kids, you choose to put up with all the shit they put you through. If you can't deal with that, don't have kids.
Having kids isn't a right, and people who act like it is are stupid. Having kids isn't an obligation that everyone has to satisfy. That's just stupid. It's perfectly fine to never have kids. Only have kids if you're willing to put in the time, effort, money, and put up with all the shit that goes with having kids. If you don't want to, do yourself and everyone around you a favor by not having kids.

@cfiz
putting up with the hassle of kids is one thing but putting up with them getting you into legal trouble for there own amusment is another. a child like that is obviously going to be a sociopath when older because there is no limit to what they will do. i guess you would think it's funny if you kid did this to you or called DCFS cause you sent them to there room. and a child like this would be hard to punish cause she would punish you back. i do think this video is funny but man, that kid would be in so much trouble with not only me but the father as well. i would take everything but her bed and dresser and no gifts for birthday or Christmas for a year depending on how pissed i am after a while. and swat on the butt would not be out of the question.

scratch that last part. i would just wait till they got older then frame them for kidnapping and see how they like it lol.

When SLA undertook the Alignment Project more than two years ago, a name change was not in our plans. However, the research has made it abundantly clear that we must consider one.

From this day onward I will walk
easy on the earth. Plant trees. Kill
no living things. Live in harmony with
all creatures. i will restore the earth
where I am. Use no more of its resources
than I need. And listen, listen to what
it is telling me.

This was one of those somethings...

Funny. Very funny.
It seems to me the girl loves here mom (and vice-versa) and is about to get a lesson in why this sort of mischief is not rewarding. Punishment will not be needed from the parents, the experience of having her mom "attacked" by a stranger will be punishment enough. After the ordeal is over the only thing the mom will be giving her is a hug.

I didn't think it was funny at all. What a disrespectful child. Would any of you be laughing if your spoiled brat of a kid did that to you? If so, bless your soft heart.
