The animals go in the house....but they don't come out.
Horror flick?
Nah, a religious ceremony.
Neighbors in an Orange County neighborhood aren't happy about religious animal rituals happening in a home now filled with empty animal cages.
But it's legal.
Deputies told homeowners they recently interrupted a goat sacrifice on Friday as part of a Santeria ceremony.
"I don't want them to hurt animals. I don't care what animals they are," said one unidentified neighbor who is spooked by the practice of chicken and goat sacrifices at her neighbor's home.
Spooked? We think it's fascinating. You think folks in Iowa have so much to talk about around the dinner table?
"I don't like any kind of odd thing happening. I mean, I don't know?,'' an unidentified neighbor said.
Doesn't like odd stuff? Uh-oh. Time to move to Iowa.
